3M™ Scotch-Weld™ AF 163-2OST 0.030 PSF Green 5.5 Mil is a thermosetting modified epoxy structural adhesive film designed for demanding aerospace bonding applications. It is part of the AF 163-2 family and is designed for bonding metal and composite structures, including solid-panel and honeycomb sandwich constructions. This configuration uses a one-side-tacky non-woven carrier on a matte scrim, providing improved handling during assembly while maintaining the controlled adhesive-film format required for structural bonding. The 0.030 PSF (lb/ft²) adhesive weight version has a nominal thickness of 5.5 mil and is identified by 3M as green. The AF 163-2OST film family is intended for applications requiring high structural bond performance, fracture toughness and peel strength.
