Description

Hexcel HexPly F161 Style 7781 is a high-temperature structural fiberglass/epoxy prepreg combining Style 7781, 8-harness satin-weave E-glass fabric with the HexPly F161 epoxy resin system. It is designed for aerospace composite structures requiring heat resistance, dimensional stability and electrical-grade performance. The material cures at approximately 350°F (176–177°C) and provides good tack and drape during lay-up, allowing it to conform to complex composite contours. After curing, the laminate provides good heat resistance and heat-aging performance. Hexcel's F161 data identifies the 7781 reinforcement as a 8-harness satin glass fabric with a 34–40% resin-content range.
