3M™ Scotch-Weld™ EC-2216 B/A Gray Epoxy Adhesive is a flexible, two-part, room-temperature-curing structural epoxy developed for demanding bonding applications, including aerospace and aircraft applications. It provides high peel and shear strength while maintaining flexibility, helping the bond withstand vibration, shock, flexing, expansion, and contraction. The adhesive bonds a wide range of substrates including metals, plastics, rubber, wood, masonry, and composite materials. EC-2216 B/A Gray has a 2:3 mix ratio and approximately 90 minutes of work life, allowing adequate time for positioning and adjustment. It is also suitable for applications requiring resistance to environmental aging and extreme low-temperature conditions. 3M identifies it for aerospace applications and states that it is certified for aircraft and aerospace use.
