Description
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ EC-9356 B/A FST Structural Adhesive is a two-part, fast-curing epoxy paste adhesive specifically developed for aircraft interior bonding and fabrication applications. Its thixotropic, non-sag formulation provides controlled application on vertical surfaces, while its low-exothermic cure helps minimize heat generation during processing. The adhesive is designed for bonding metals, PEI and PEEK thermoplastics, thermosets, and composite materials, including honeycomb panels and inserts. EC-9356 B/A FST reaches handling strength within approximately 2 hours at room temperature and has a 20-minute work life, providing a practical balance between application time and production speed. It is formulated without halogens and antimony and meets specified FAR/JAR/CS 25.853 and ABD0031 flammability, smoke-density, and toxic-gas emission requirements
