Description
#1007 is a two-component, high-solids yellow epoxy primer designed for corrosion protection of aircraft and other metal surfaces. The primer is formulated with an epoxy resin base and catalyst and is intended to provide a durable, chemically resistant foundation for subsequent coating systems. Spectrum Coatings identifies #1007 as a MIL-PRF-23377K Type I Class C2 Yellow High-Solids Epoxy Primer. The 1.5 US gallon kit consists of approximately 1 gallon of Component A (base) and 0.5 gallon of Component B (catalyst), mixed at a 2:1 ratio by volume. It is suitable for aviation and MRO applications where corrosion-inhibitive primer protection is required on treated or untreated metal surfaces.
