Description
3M™ Aerospace Sealant AC-735 B-1/2 is a two-component, non-chromated, corrosion-inhibitive polysulfide fuselage sealant designed for demanding aerospace sealing applications. Its low-density, manganese-dioxide-cured formulation provides an effective barrier against corrosion while maintaining flexibility and bond strength on aluminium, titanium, steel, stainless steel, composites and coated substrates under temperature, weathering and mechanical stress. The sealant offers excellent resistance to aviation gasoline, jet fuel, chemicals and petroleum products. Its thixotropic paste consistency allows easy application by extrusion or injection gun or spatula, with excellent tooling properties and low shrinkage. The B-1/2 grade provides a 30-minute application life, with typical tack-free and cure times of approximately 5 hours at standard conditions.
