Description

PPG PR-1750 A-2 is a two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide aircraft integral fuel tank sealant designed primarily for brush sealing of fasteners in fuel tanks and other aircraft fuselage applications. It cures at room temperature to form a resilient, flexible seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates and maintains its elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline. The A-2 grade provides a 2-hour application life, with a tack-free time of less than 24 hours and a cure time of approximately 48 hours. It operates from -54°C to +121°C, with intermittent temperature excursions up to 182°C.
