Description
PPG PR-1750 A-2 is a two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide aircraft integral fuel tank sealant designed primarily for brush sealing of fasteners and fuel tank structures. The uncured material is a thick liquid that can be applied by brush or roller and cures at room temperature to form a resilient, flexible seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates. The cured sealant maintains its elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline and provides excellent resistance to aircraft fuels, lubricating oils and phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids. The A-2 grade provides a 2-hour application life and is suitable for service temperatures from -55°C to +180°C.
