Description

PPG PR-1750 A-2 is a two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide aircraft integral fuel tank sealant designed for brush sealing of fasteners in fuel tanks and other aircraft fuselage applications. The uncured material can be applied by brush in thicknesses up to 25 mils and cures at room temperature to form a resilient, flexible seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates. The cured sealant maintains its elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline. The A-2 grade provides a 2-hour application life and operates from -54°C to +121°C, with intermittent exposure up to 182°C.
