Description
PPG PR-1770 B-1/2 is a high-strength, two-part manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide aircraft sealant designed for fillet sealing of integral fuel tanks and aircraft fuselage applications. Its low-sag, thixotropic paste can be applied using an extrusion gun or spatula and cures at room temperature to form a strong, flexible and resilient seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates. The cured sealant maintains its elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline, while providing excellent resistance to aircraft fuels, lubricating oils and hydraulic fluids. The B-1/2 grade provides a 30-minute application life and has a service temperature range of approximately -55°C to +180°C.
