Description

PPG PR-1770 C-12 is a two-part, high-temperature-resistant polysulfide faying surface sealant designed for sealing mating aircraft surfaces and joints. It is cured with manganese dioxide and provides excellent resistance to aircraft fuels and lubricating oils, as well as resistance to degradation from phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids. The uncured material is a thick liquid that can be applied by brush or roller, while the cured sealant maintains excellent flexibility and elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to aircraft fuels. The C-12 grade provides a 12-hour application life and is suitable for continuous service from -55°C to +180°C.
