Description

PPG P/S 890 A-1/2 is a two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide aircraft integral fuel tank sealant designed for brush and faying-surface sealing of fuel tanks and other aircraft fuselage applications. The sealant cures at room temperature to form a resilient, flexible seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates and maintains its elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline. The A-1/2 grade provides a 30-minute application life and is suitable for application by brush in thicknesses up to 25 mils. It operates from -54°C to +121°C, with intermittent exposure up to 135°C
