Description
PPG P/S 890 B-1/2 is a two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide aircraft integral fuel tank sealant designed for fillet sealing of fuel tanks and other aircraft fuselage applications. Its low-sag, thixotropic paste can be applied using an extrusion gun or spatula and cures at room temperature to form a resilient, flexible seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates. The cured sealant maintains its elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline, providing reliable sealing in demanding aerospace environments. The B-1/2 grade has a 30-minute application life, with a service temperature range of -54°C to +121°C and intermittent exposure up to 135°C.
