Description
PPG P/S 890 B-2 is a two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide aircraft integral fuel tank sealant designed for fillet sealing of fuel tanks and aircraft fuselage applications. Its low-sag, thixotropic paste can be applied by extrusion gun or spatula and cures at room temperature to form a resilient, flexible seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates. The cured sealant maintains its elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline, providing reliable long-term sealing in demanding aerospace environments. The B-2 grade has a 2-hour application life, with a service temperature range of -54°C to +121°C and intermittent exposure up to 135°C.
