Description

LOCTITE 277 is a red, high-strength, high-viscosity anaerobic threadlocking adhesive designed for the permanent locking and sealing of large threaded fasteners. It is especially suitable for large bolts and studs greater than 25.4 mm (1 inch). The adhesive cures when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air, helping prevent loosening and leakage caused by shock and vibration. LOCTITE 277 is also fluorescent under UV light, allowing visual inspection for quality control. Although designed for permanent locking, disassembly can be achieved by heating the assembly to approximately 250°C (482°F).
