Description

LOCTITE 554 is a one-part, red, medium-viscosity anaerobic liquid thread sealant formulated for sealing threaded metal fittings and pipes. It provides high temperature and solvent resistance and is particularly suited to refrigeration systems and applications involving strong chemicals. The sealant cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, forming a reliable seal that helps prevent leakage. Henkel specifies use on threaded fittings and pipes up to 50.8 mm (2 in.) in diameter and temperature resistance up to 149°C (300°F). It is not intended for slip-fitted tube joints.
