Description

LOCTITE 648 is a one-component, low-viscosity, high-strength anaerobic retaining compound designed for bonding and securing close-fitting cylindrical metal components. It is particularly suitable for retaining gears and sprockets on shafts, rotors on motor shafts and other cylindrical assemblies, helping prevent loosening and leakage caused by shock and vibration. The green compound cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. It works on both active metals such as mild steel and passive substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces, and is tolerant of minor oil contamination.
