Description
LOCTITE Grade A (088), also known as LOCTITE GRD A, is a red, high-strength, low-viscosity anaerobic threadlocker designed for locking and sealing fine-threaded nuts, bolts and studs. It cures in the absence of air when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces, helping prevent loosening caused by vibration and shock. Henkel identifies it as one of its original first-generation threadlocker formulations. Its low viscosity allows the product to penetrate fine threaded interfaces effectively. The formulation is also fluorescent under UV light, which can assist with quality-control inspection. Henkel lists Grade A (088) under MIL-S-22473E Grade A and ASTM D5363 Group 1, Class 2, Grade 1.
