Description

LOCTITE SF 7649 is a solvent-based primer/activator designed to accelerate the curing of LOCTITE anaerobic adhesives and sealants. It prepares inactive or passive metal surfaces and helps promote curing where larger bond gaps or low temperatures can otherwise slow the anaerobic cure. Henkel classifies SF 7649 as an adhesive activator. The 4.5 oz version is supplied in an aerosol can, allowing the activator to be sprayed onto one or both mating surfaces before application of the compatible anaerobic adhesive or sealant. After the solvent has evaporated and the surface is dry, the anaerobic product can be applied. Henkel specifies an on-part life of up to 30 days.
