Description

LOCTITE SF 7649 is a solvent-based activator formulated to accelerate the curing of LOCTITE anaerobic adhesives and sealants. It prepares metal surfaces to promote faster curing, particularly when working with passive or inactive metals, inert surfaces, larger bond gaps, or temperatures below 15°C (60°F). Henkel classifies it under Adhesive Activators. The green activator can be applied by spray, brush or as a pre-treatment. After application, the solvent is allowed to evaporate completely before the anaerobic adhesive or sealant is applied. The activated surface remains usable for bonding for up to 1 month when protected from contamination.
