Description

LOCTITE SI 596 is a red, one-component, high-temperature RTV silicone adhesive sealant. It cures at room temperature when exposed to atmospheric moisture, forming a tough, flexible silicone rubber seal with good resistance to water, oil, aging, weathering and thermal cycling. Henkel specifies the product for applications requiring temperature resistance up to 316°C (600°F). Its flowable formulation is suitable for high-temperature sealing, formed-in-place gasketing and bonding applications. Typical applications include industrial furnaces, ovens, boilers, exhaust systems, high-temperature ducting and heating elements in electrical equipment.
